Selectron Process Controls offers PID temperature controller with universal input housed in a snap fitting, front loaded compact (48 x 48 x 110 mm) housing with NEMA 4 X / IP66 protection. PID 500 has 4-digit dual display, which allows viewing of the process temperature and set point simultaneously. The lower display can be programmed separately to display the parameters of user's choice. The controller accepts signals from more than 12 types of thermocouple inputs, TRD and signal inputs including current (4-20 mA), voltage (0-10 V DC) and millivolt (-5 to 56 mV) signal inputs and has a universal supply voltage range 85 to 270 V AC/DC (24 V AC/DC optional).
PID 500 operates in the PID control mode for both heating and cooling, with on demand auto-tune feature, which establishes the tuning constants. The PID tuning constants may be fine tuned by the operator at any time and then locked out from future modification.
The controller may be programmed to operate in the On/Off control mode with adjustable hysteresis. Specially security features such as parameter and set point locking protect the instrument from unauthorised operator.
Configurable alarm modes, soft-start, ramp-soak, heat-cool, etc., are the standard features of this model with many optional features such as communication, heater current monitor input, remote set point and motorised control. The zone PID feature enables efficient control through four programmable control zones.
Optional linear DC output is available for control or retransmission purpose. Economical versions with truncated features are also available for OEM users in this series
