PressureJet (formerly PreciDose Pumps & Systems), in technical collaboration with M/s Hughes Pumps Ltd. (UK), offers high-pressure triplex plunger pump for steel industries, rolling mills and forging units for de-scaling application. This pump is specifically developed for continuous duty. The complete system for slab de-scaling consists of pump, nozzle, electric panel, unloader valve, etc. In rolling mills, when red-hot steel bars/rolls come out from furnace, they will get in direct contact with atmospheric air.

Hence, there will be formation of the scale on the metal surface due to the oxidation. This will affects the quality of metal surface of the steel bars/rolls. This kind of scale formation has to be removed by high-pressure water jet pumps before further processing of steel/bars/rolls. The company can supply the system having pump flow up to 775 LPM and pressure up to 300 kg/cm² for this application. These pumps can also be used for heat exchanger tube cleaning, hydro test, reverse osmosis, rust and paint removal, surface preparation, etc.
