KB electronics has introduced switch mode power supply (SMPS) based battery charger. This system is suitable for VRLA, SMF and NI CD batteries capacity of 100 AH to 450 AH. It is portable compact, light weight and low cost unit. True CV-CC characteristics quickly charge the battery. It is offered with rugged MS enclosure as table top or panel/wall mounting options. Battery life depends on a number of factors such as operating temperature of the battery and the method of charging used. For better life of battery, it should be prevented from getting over charged and under charged, and this feature is accomplished in this system by using ‘Float Boost’ logic- it operates on the pulse width modulation (PWM) principle. Other features include MCB at input and output; and digital voltmeter and ammeter provided at the output.
