Features: IS 20/25 graded castings; rigid and box section type 240 mm wide bed provides maximum torsional stiffness; rigid and accurate, alloy steel hardened and ground main spindle mounted on precision taper roller bearings; apron with oil bath; thread and feeds mechanism interlocked (only one can be engaged at a time); camlock clamping for tailstock with bed; all components are machined using jigs and fixtures on imported ability; Norton gearbox for easy selection of wide range of feeds and threads; a wide variety of optional accessories for higher productivity; all major castings are artificially seasoned for retaining built-in accuracy; critical components are machines on imported machine tools; induction hardened and alloy steel gears of headstock mounted on precision splined shaft and running in oil bath; flame hardened and ground bed for sustained accuracy; alloy steel lead screw threads produced on WWV imported thread milling machine; and each machine tested as per IS-1878 (Part-I) 1993 standard.
