Wearresist Technologies offers hard-wearing X’tra Hard wearplates as a ready solution to abrasion and impact damage. This cuts equipment downtime with a comprehensive range of spall-free, long-life fittings that can quickly replace worn and shattered parts. X’tra Hard is a combination of high chromium white iron metallurgically bonded to a mild steel backing plate. The white iron has a minimum hardness of 700 Brinell (63 HRC) providing maximum abrasion resistance protection for equipment. The mild steel is easily weldable with minimal preparation and acts as a cushion for the white iron, enabling it to handle impact and abrasion in the most extreme applications. X’tra Hard is available in many shapes and sizes ranging from 12 mm thickness onwards and can be used in combination to protect any impact and high abrasion areas. In addition, certain X’tra Hard products can be cut or bent to suit application, prior to welding, to help customize the protection on the machine.

It offers extreme protection for extreme applications resulting in increased production, less down time and reduced maintenance costs.
